I have had a very rich and versatile life filled with many ups and downs. The journey that makes me the person I am today has been and continues to be quite active and exciting.
From a very young age, I have had many coaches in different areas of my life. They all played a very important role in shaping my talents, my gift and me as a human being. As I approach my retirement, I was looking to see what lights me up so that I can make a difference for other people.
At 12, I discovered I had been given the gift of a magnificent operatic voice. I went to Juilliard while I was still in high school followed by obtaining my double degree in Voice and German Studies from Oberlin College. When you are a singer, you never stop studying and always have a coach to listen to you, guide you and be your support system expanding your knowledge about performing and who you are as a person and performer.
After graduating from Oberlin, I found a job that would support me throughout the years as I pursued my singing. As an Executive Assistant for senior-level, C-suite executives, I learned the way businesses are run in the corporate world. Being smart, articulate with accurate spelling and grammar, in addition to my outgoing nature, served me and continues to serve me well. I was recently invited to participate on a panel at the Executive Leadership Support Forum and look forward to future speaking engagements.
In 1996, I did a course entitled, "The Self-Expression and Leadership Program" at Landmark Worldwide. I created a community project and was assigned my own personal coach. After that I became a coach, a head coach and subsequently the Leader of the program itself. Since then, people continue to come to me for coaching in different areas of their lives. One of the most important tools I gained and have continued to hone over the years is how to listen keenly...often to what is not said or between the lines of what is actually shared. People want to be heard, appreciated and recognized.
As a volunteer, I founded and became Chairperson of a non-profit to empower women entitled, “Beauty Beyond Size.” My team and I created seminars to uplift women and their perceptions of their size as well as educate young college women as they graduate and move into jobs in the world.
I still follow my passions by taking voice lessons and coachings. I enjoy singing at nursing homes and senior centers as well as producing charity concerts to bring happiness and joy to others. Music feeds the soul and the spirit and I am proud to provide this to as many people as possible.
Now, I have been coaching people for 22 years and have empowered and inspired many people to have joyful lives by pursuing their passions. If they get stuck, they know they can come to me for the kind of committed support they need to fulfill on their goals with compassion.
My life is full and I am excited to coach those who are interested in discovery, expanding their lives and producing results. Life is all about playing full out and living the life you love. Contact me if you are interested in a conversation…
